Court records from Maryland show that in 2021, Ashford pleaded guilty to first-degree assault after a violent attack on Forbes. The assault, which reportedly ended only after a neighbor intervened, left Forbes with permanent injuries to her eye and hand, including facial fractures and a concussion.
