The warrant alleges he attempted to pick up his son from a summer camp at American University in July, violating a no-contact order.

New details regarding Ashford’s history of domestic violence have emerged. Court records from Maryland show that in 2021, Ashford pleaded guilty to first-degree assault after a violent attack on Forbes. Prosecutors alleged he threw her into a staircase and repeatedly punched her and slammed her head against the floor until she lost consciousness. The assault, which reportedly ended only after a neighbor intervened, left Forbes with permanent injuries to her eye and hand, including facial fractures and a concussion. Forbes’ sister, Aileen, stated the family was previously unaware of the severity of the 2021 assault.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support search efforts and public awareness, raising over $10,000.
