Search for Emile Ratelband shifts to Laos

Overview

The search for missing Dutch entrepreneur and former television personality Emile Ratelband has taken a significant turn following reports that he left Thailand.

Thai immigration authorities confirmed that Ratelband departed Thailand in late 2025 via the Friendship Bridge into Laos. Records indicate his companion, Nathalia da Silva, flew from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Middle East on the same day. Immigration databases show that neither individual has re-entered Thailand since their departure.

Recent developments suggest Ratelband may be in Vientiane, Laos, following reports from residents in the capital city. Additionally, Thai police have reportedly established telephone contact with him through a contact in Thailand. During this conversation, Ratelband stated that he is “doing well” and requested to be left alone.
