Emile Ratelband traced to Laos after reported missing in Thailand

The search for missing Dutch television host and motivational speaker Emile Ratelband has taken a significant turn. While his family in the Netherlands had reported him missing and offered a €2,500 reward, Thai immigration authorities confirmed that Ratelband actually departed Thailand in late 2025.

Official records show that Ratelband exited Thailand via the Friendship Bridge into Laos, while his companion, Natalia, flew from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Middle East on the same day. Immigration databases indicate that neither individual has re-entered Thailand since their departure.

Recent reports suggest that Thai police have established telephone contact with Ratelband. During a conversation facilitated by a contact in Thailand, Ratelband reportedly stated that he is doing well and requested to be left alone. There are also indications from residents in Vientiane, Laos, that he has been seen in the capital city.
