Disney media and entertainment partnerships

Overview

The Walt Disney Company has initiated several strategic collaborations to expand its digital and live event presence. In October 2026, Disney announced a creative partnership with the YouTube group Dude Perfect to promote franchises like Marvel and Star Wars through original content for Disney+ and short-form videos across Disney, ESPN, and social media.

By November 2026, Disney expanded its collaborative efforts through an existing relationship with WWE. This includes a two day takeover of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, scheduled for December 14 and 15, 2026. Two day combo tickets for these events are scheduled to go on sale starting November 13.

The first day, December 14, will feature the inaugural John Cena Classic, a special edition of Monday Night Raw streaming on Netflix. The tournament will pit stars from the Raw and SmackDown rosters against NXT talent, with Cody Rhodes confirmed as a participant. Fans using the Club WWE membership program will vote in real time to determine the winner of the new John Cena Classic Championship.

On December 15, WWE will host a themed edition of Worlds Collide inspired by the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Avengers: Doomsday, which is set for release on December 18. This event will feature talent from WWE, NXT, and AAA. In conjunction with these shows, WWE and Fanatics will host WWE World, an immersive fan experience offering exclusive merchandise and autograph opportunities. The companies also plan to release co-branded Avengers: Doomsday and WWE products, including title belts, through Disney retail stores and the WWE shop.
