Dog exhibitions in Southeast Europe

Overview

Regional dog exhibitions and community events have been held across Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina to promote animal welfare and cynology.

In Serbia, the third Stray Dog Show in Kikinda focused on responsible pet ownership and encouraging the adoption of animals from local shelters. Similarly, in Zagreb, Croatia, the third edition of Dogs’ Café featured photography and caricatures alongside participation from the Luč Zagorje Shelter to help visitors meet animals seeking permanent homes.

In Šamac, the Kinological Association hosted its fifth international dog exhibition as part of the ‘Šamačko ljeto 2026’ event. This competition involved more than 800 dogs and exhibitors from over 20 European countries, continuing a local cynology tradition that has spanned over 100 years.
