Sam Wood, a fitness entrepreneur and former star of ‘The Bachelor Australia’, was arrested by Queensland Police following an incident at a property in Noosa. Wood faces two counts of domestic violence: assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation in a domestic setting. The allegations have resulted in significant professional fallout. DBG Health, the parent company of the ‘28 by Sam Wood’ brand, terminated all commercial arrangements with him, citing a ‘zero tolerance for domestic violence’. Wood has also been stood down indefinitely from his company. In a joint social media statement, Wood and his wife, Snezana Markoski, noted they are ‘working through this as a family’ and are ‘thoroughly co-operating with the authorities’. Wood remains in custody while legal proceedings continue.
