Dominican Republic public sector training initiatives

Overview

The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) has entered into several collaboration agreements aimed at enhancing the technical and professional competencies of public sector employees.

In August 2026, the MAP partnered with the Superintendency of Electricity (SIE) to establish a certification process for public sector electricians. This initiative seeks to ensure that personnel responsible for electrical systems in state institutions are properly licensed and meet the standards required by Resolution SIE-065-2016-MEMI.

Following this, in September 2026, the MAP signed an agreement with the Barna Management School to develop academic training programs. Scheduled for completion by 2027, these programs focus on specialized leadership and management training for Directors of Planning and Development and Directors of Quality in public institutions.
