Donations to Burkina Faso Faso Mêbo initiative

Overview

The Faso Mêbo initiative, a presidential program established by Captain Ibrahim Traoré to support infrastructure development in Burkina Faso, has received several significant material donations from private and former public figures.

In mid-August 2026, Faso Paysage Agrégats (FPA) donated 100 tonnes of construction materials, including granite aggregates, sand, and cement, to support projects in Tenkodogo. FPA Director Kiswendsida Omar Sawadogo characterized the contribution as an expression of “responsibility and solidarity toward the nation.”

Later in August, former Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Dr. Modeste Yerbanga donated 20 tonnes of cement to the initiative in the Nazinon region. The donation was received in Manga by Governor Yvette Nacoulma. Dr. Yerbanga described the program as a “symbol of solidarity, patriotism, and collective progress,” urging further citizen participation in regional development.
