Czech developer Eclipse Glow Games announced ‘Tides of Annihilation’, an action-adventure RPG set in a ruined, alien-invaded London. The single-player game follows a survivor named Gwendolyn and features a combat system where players summon up to ten legendary knights inspired by Arthurian myth.

Following the initial announcement, the developer held an offline playtesting event in Chengdu, China. The event showcased the game’s technical performance on Unreal Engine 5 using high-end hardware. Developers indicated that the combat mechanics draw influence from series such as ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ and ‘Fate’. The title is planned for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Japanese subtitles to be included.

Recent previews have detailed a “dual frontline system” in which Gwendolyn combines sword attacks with summonable spectral knights. These knights function as loadout-based abilities capable of teleportation, freezing enemies, or breaking shields, and can also serve as tools for environmental traversal.

While early hands-on previews describe combat animations as fluid and technical performance on PC and consoles as clean, some reviewers noted challenges regarding character physics. Specifically, movement controls, sprint speeds, and jumping mechanics have been described as “heavy or lacking precision”. Developed by a team of 150, the game is not expected to be released before mid-2027.
