For a worker earning 24 million tomans per month, purchasing a modest 70-square-meter unit in a lower-income area would require over 17 years of total savings, assuming no other expenditures. Experts warn that recent revisions to the Comprehensive Housing Plan may favor ‘miniature’ homes, potentially undermining the National Housing Movement and the Seventh Development Plan’s goals for affordable family housing.
