Ed Sheeran’s “Loop Tour” has faced several disruptions across different regions. In September 2026, the second of two scheduled concerts in Mexico City was canceled by promoter MusicVibe due to anticipated mobility and traffic challenges related to the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Ticket holders were relocated to the previous night’s performance or offered refunds. Later in the month, scheduled performances at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, were canceled due to a severe nor’easter storm. Stadium management, tour promoters, and local officials cited the need to prioritize the safety of fans, staff, and crew in response to heavy rain and high wind warnings. Ticketmaster users are set to receive automatic refunds for these canceled dates. ~~This cancellation~~ These cancellations followed significant controversy regarding the tour’s lineup, specifically the removal of opening act Macklemore following his “Free Palestine” declarations. Macklemore alleged that Kraft pressured the tour to drop him, an accusation Kraft addressed by citing the rapper’s history of rhetoric. Sheeran has since stated that the decision to drop Macklemore was made by the tour promoter rather than himself, adding that he wishes his music to focus on “unity rather than politics.” ~~Additionally,~~ During a performance at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Sheeran addressed the ~~Massachusetts Attorney General intervened to ensure Ticketmaster provided~~ emotional toll of the controversy, telling a ~~clear refund process for fans affected by~~ crowd of 50,000 that he feels friends and family are distancing themselves from him.
