Throughout 2026, Egypt’s housing, water, and rural development ministries have accelerated infrastructure, land allocation, and social housing programs. Previous efforts included the Beit Al-Watan project, the Hayat Karima rural program, and the introduction of AI-driven digital services. In August, Housing Minister Randa Al-Menshawi expanded digital and commercial initiatives, integrating artificial intelligence into the ministry website and monitoring the ‘Sakan Likul Al-Misriyeen’ (Housing for All Egyptians) initiative. Progress was tracked in Hadayek El-Ashir, Hadayek October, and 15 May City, where over 18,000 units are being managed. In late August, Minister Al-Menshawi met with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to discuss the progress of the Central Business District in the New Administrative Capital and the Downtown towers in New Alamein. She also reviewed the implementation of the ‘Fustat Hills Gardens’ project, a 500-acre development in Old Cairo designed to create a cultural and tourist hub near the Museum of Civilization.
