Egypt telecom pricing changes

Overview

In July 2026, Egypt’s three major mobile operators—Vodafone, Orange and Etisalat Misr—published their home broadband and mobile data package prices, offering a range of plans from modest daily bundles to high‑volume broadband options. WE also introduced new mobile packages under its "Tazbeet" and "Nitro" brands.

Later in July, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority announced that it had approved a revised tariff structure in May 2026. The regulator’s changes raise selected mobile recharge and broadband packages by roughly 9 % to 15 % and add new offerings, such as a 50 GB home‑broadband plan for EGP 150 and a low‑cost mobile bundle for EGP 5. The authority cited higher operating costs, rising energy and fuel prices, and increased global prices for network equipment and chips as reasons for the adjustments, while maintaining free access to government and educational websites after data allowances are exhausted.
