The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation petroleum sector has continued approving reported significant operational and financial results for the 2025/2026 fiscal results for various year. The General Petroleum Company (GPC) achieved a record 12 petroleum companies. Following earlier approvals for Petrozenima discoveries, averaging 77,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day through the use of artificial intelligence, horizontal drilling, and Alamein Petroleum, hydraulic fracturing. Financial and production highlights include Cooperation Petroleum reporting a 43% increase in net profits, fueled by a 610% surge in ship bunkering volumes. Petrofrich maintained an average production of 10,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day, increasing its remaining reserves to over 11 million barrels. In the corporation recently refining sector, Assiut Oil Refining (ASORC) produced products valued at approximately $3 billion and is developing a third distillation unit to nearly double its annual refining capacity from 4.5 million to 9.5 million tons of crude. Infrastructure developments include the Petroleum Pipelines Company transporting over 8.2 billion ton-km of products through its 6,300-kilometer network, alongside plans to expand the Sokhna Terminal capacity. As part of the ongoing fiscal reviews, the General Petroleum Corporation finalized results for Petrobakr, Ash Al-Malaha Petroleum, Petroshahd Petroleum, Petroleum and Hamra Oil. During these reviews, CEO Salah Abdel Karim emphasized a strategic focus on accelerating investments, implementing production increase plans, and reiterated the necessity of balancing output increased production with cost reduction and strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. Production updates include Petrobakr reporting a peak of 11,871 barrels per day, while Petroshahd reported a daily production rate of 7,730 barrels of oil and condensates. Petroshahd also highlighted the drilling of three developmental wells condensates and the achievement of 4.8 million safe work hours without accidents. The company was recognized with an Operational Excellence Award for its risk visualization project. Looking toward 2027, Falco Energy expects recent exploration projects to create new drilling opportunities.
