EL. A. S. political outreach in Greece

The EL. A. S. political movement has been conducting a series of community meetings and regional outreach efforts across Greece to strengthen local ties and discuss policy priorities.

In early October, the Coordinating Committee of EL. A. S. Aetolia-Acarnania scheduled meetings in Mesolonghi and Kainourio to engage with residents regarding local social issues and daily life. These sessions followed previous engagements in Astakos and Panaitoliko.

By late October, the movement expanded its activities to Ioannina, holding an inaugural open meeting in Litharitsia. During this event, EL. A. S. Labor Sector Chief Dionysis Temponeras presented policy proposals focused on social justice and economic reform. Key proposals included a wealth redistribution plan through the taxation of large assets and the establishment of a ‘National Convergence Fund’ intended to mobilize approximately €25 billion for production and the social state. The organization continues to utilize regional committees and its digital platform, myELAS, to address concerns regarding the cost of living, public health, and energy.
