Emergency response and first aid training initiatives

Overview

Institutions in Brazil and Portugal are implementing training programs to improve emergency response capabilities for cardiac arrest, choking, and other medical emergencies.

In Brazil, the University of Marília installed a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and trained security and staff to recognize cardiac arrest and operate the device.
