The Valencian Employment and Training Service, Labora, continues to manage high seasonal demand with over 3,000 active job vacancies, primarily in hospitality, tourism, commerce, and leisure. Regional data shows a 4.1% decrease in unemployment, with youth unemployment for those under 25 reaching a historic low of 15,263 individuals. To support workforce integration, Labora is implementing nearly 80 employment and training programs across the three provinces of the Comunitat Valenciana. Supported by an investment of approximately 60 million euros, these free initiatives aim to assist over 1,500 people. These include ‘Escuelas Taller’ for those aged 16 to 30, which combine training with paid work, and ‘Talleres de Empleo’ focusing on social interest projects in areas such as gardening, construction, administration, cooking, and social-health care. Additionally, the organization Dins Social facilitates social inclusion in Valencia by supporting people with disabilities through personalized labor itineraries. Training initiatives are expanding to align worker skills with specific regional industrial demands. In Almansa, the Proyecto Éfeso Almansa Impulsa is launching a 250-hour warehouse and logistics course on November 3, 2026, targeting unemployed individuals, including those with disabilities and those in vulnerable socioeconomic situations. In Elche, Labora has allocated over 26 million euros between 2023 and 2026 to support the local industrial sector, particularly the footwear industry, through digital training and professional qualification programs designed to connect job seekers with qualified roles. New efforts are now targeting the green economy. Labora and the Council of Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community are launching meetings in Alicante throughout October and November. Held in Alcoy, Elche, and Orihuela, these sessions aim to connect talent with sectors such as sustainability, energy efficiency, and the circular economy. The Elche forum will specifically include workshops on digital entrepreneurship and green employment trends.
