Overview

On August 25, 2026, an unoccupied semi-truck struck an open section of the Enbridge Line 5 pipeline near Saxon in Iron County, northern Wisconsin. The collision caused a massive leak of liquid natural gases, including propane and butane, which created a dense, fog-like cloud.
