Enersa energy infrastructure projects in Argentina
Overview
The state-owned energy company Enersa is undertaking several infrastructure and energy integration projects in Argentina.
Initially, Enersa began replacing high-voltage conductors on the Paraná I and Paraná II lines crossing the Paraná River. This project involves installing approximately 4,400 meters of aluminum conductors with steel cores to replace damaged lines. According to Enersa president Uriel Brupbacher, the work aims to restore nominal transport capacity and provide system stability. The operation utilizes a “controlled tension” technique to ensure safe river navigation, with assistance from the Argentine Naval Prefecture.
Subsequently, Enersa expanded its coordination with the Government of Entre Ríos and the Municipality of Paraná to manage two additional projects. These include installing LED lighting along 3.8 kilometers of the Paraná Ring Road to improve safety and energy efficiency, and connecting a municipal photovoltaic solar park to the electrical distribution network. Brupbacher noted that the company is preparing the necessary installations to facilitate the injection of renewable energy into the system.
