Enrico Caruso International singing competition

The Enrico Caruso International Prize — Le radici della voce has concluded its registration period for its inaugural edition. Organized by the Municipality of Piedimonte Matese, the competition attracted 79 candidates from 16 different countries across two continents.

Of the participants, 38 are Italian and 41 are from abroad, including singers from South Korea, China, Ukraine, Japan, and several European nations. Many international candidates are currently studying at Italian conservatories or Teatro alla Scala.

The competition has moved into its final stages in Piedimonte Matese as part of the fifth edition of the ‘Le radici della voce’ festival. The grand finale features two main events held in Piazza del Carmine. On Friday, August 29, finalists are scheduled to perform before a professional jury. This will be followed on Saturday, August 30, by a Lyrical Gala featuring the competition winners and a special appearance by tenor Vincenzo Costanzo. Both evening events are open to the public with free admission.
