Entre Ríos educational infrastructure development
Overview
In early August 2026, the government of Entre Ríos and the Argentine national government signed an agreement to complete the construction of four unfinished technical and agrotechnical schools in the province. These projects, located in Concepción del Uruguay, San Carlos, Gualeguay, and Larroque, aim to provide modern facilities for technical and agricultural training.
Later in the month, Governor Rogelio Frigerio inspected a separate 2,000 million peso restoration project at Escuela N° 1 Independencia in Diamante. This initiative is part of a larger provincial plan to renovate and maintain 600 schools across Entre Ríos. The Governor stated that the administration is working to reverse years of neglect through permanent infrastructure policies.
By late August, additional educational investments were detailed. These include a 781 million peso renovation of the José María Texier school in San Salvador, intended to serve 570 students, and a 41 million peso waterproofing project at the Escuela Normal Superior N° 14 in Gualeguaychú to benefit over 1,500 students. Alongside these educational works, the Governor visited the Port of Diamante to discuss logistical development, noting that Entre Ríos manages approximately 90 percent of Argentina’s fluvial grain cabotage.
