EPCOT operational schedule and testing updates

Overview

Walt Disney World has announced several operational adjustments and notifications for EPCOT guests in late 2026.

In October, the park will implement delayed opening hours on Friday, October 23, and Sunday, October 25, due to the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. During these dates, the park is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. rather than 9 a.m., with Early Theme Park Entry for eligible guests occurring from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Additionally, routine fireworks testing is scheduled for the night of Tuesday, September 1, through the early morning of Wednesday, September 2. Testing will occur between 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., and guests may hear “sporadic fireworks” during this period. Disney has issued warnings to guests at nearby locations, including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels.
