Epidaurus Festival production of Euripides’ Ion

Overview

The Cyprus Theatre Organisation presented a production of Euripides’ ‘Ion’ as part of the Epidaurus Festival in late August 2026. Directed and adapted by Thomas Moschopoulos, the play explores themes of identity and social struggle through the story of Creusa, Xuthus, and Ion.

Following the scheduled performances on August 28 and 29, PASOK-Movement for Change president Nikos Androulakis attended the event at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus on August 28. Androulakis met with the production staff and cast after the performance.
