President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is conducting a series of official visits to the Black Sea region of Turkey to inaugurate major infrastructure and public service projects. Regarding the political landscape, Erdoğan stated, ‘I renew my belief that we will get through the upcoming elections successfully,’ while criticizing the political opposition and committing to a ‘terror-free Turkey.’ Local concerns persist regarding the Black Sea Coastal Road, with journalists noting that viaducts act as a ‘concrete wall’ restricting sea access. Additionally, hazelnut producers have requested government intervention regarding market pricing and TMO purchasing policies. During the Rize visit, a notable interaction also occurred with Abdulai Yahaya, a medical graduate from Ghana who chose to study at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University due to the institution’s namesake.
