Erzsébet camps for children in Zánka
Overview
The Erzsébet Foundation for Children in the Carpathian Basin has launched autumn Erzsébet camps in Zánka. The program, which is supported by state funding, aims to host up to 17,000 participants through September 25. The camps provide structured educational curricula covering topics such as nature science, digital skills, financial literacy, and arts, and include a new Police Vehicle Park.
As the program progresses, specific groups have begun participating, including 54 children and six chaperones from the Transcarpathian Hungarian Large Family Association. This group’s involvement marks the first time these youth have participated in the Zánka camp, engaging in sports, cultural activities, and community-building exercises organized with support from the Association of Transcarpathian Family Organizations (KCSSZ).
