A new $800 million facility in Elazığ has commenced operations, while the Halilağa Copper Mine project in Çanakkale is expected to be operational by the end of the year following a $600 million investment. These expansions, alongside capacity increases at the Samsun refining plant, aim to meet approximately 25% of Turkey’s annual copper demand.
