To unify twenty local municipalities, the project suggests implementing an ‘EtnaCard’ to encourage longer tourist stays and a cohesive regional identity. Discussions also focus on the economic potential of Mount Etna, specifically regarding tourism, scientific research, and the promotion of local products like volcanic wines, pistachios, and ceramics.
