European industries are increasingly integrating cloud computing and artificial intelligence into their core business processes, leading to a heightened focus on cybersecurity and digital resilience.

In Germany, the strategic focus for companies, particularly within the Mittelstand, has moved toward the secure and economical implementation of cloud technologies. Key priorities include digital sovereignty, compliance, and the transition of service organizations to hybrid or public cloud solutions to facilitate the scalable use of AI.

In Poland, the digital and structural transformation driven by AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity is significantly impacting the labor market. While average monthly salaries for specialists and managers have risen from 15,691 PLN to 16,400 PLN, wage growth is increasingly concentrated in high-demand sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, data management, and energy transformation. In contrast, repetitive or junior roles face pressure from automation.

Specialized experts in DevOps, cloud architecture, and AI can command monthly B2B contracts of up to 45,000 PLN, whereas generalist or junior developer roles experience slower growth. This shift underscores a growing demand for interdisciplinary expertise that combines technical proficiency with business, regulatory, and soft skills. At the Economic Forum in Karpacz, experts emphasized that while Poland possesses strong engineering talent, achieving technological sovereignty and moving beyond a subcontractor role requires long-term strategy, capital, and educational evolution focused on critical thinking and adaptability.
