Major European football clubs are establishing strategic partnerships with Google to integrate artificial intelligence and mobile technology into their operations.

Paris Saint-Germain announced a multi-year agreement through 2029, designating Google’s Gemini AI system as its official assistant and Google Pixel as its official device. The partnership includes a dedicated Google space at the Parc des Princes stadium to enhance fan and creator experiences. Some reports noted a discrepancy regarding whether a formal public announcement had been filed as of early August 2026.

FC Barcelona also entered a partnership to use Gemini for analytical insights, interactive match perspectives, and crowdsourcing stadium anthems. Google Pixel devices will be used to capture exclusive content from training sessions and locker rooms for the club’s digital media channels.

By mid-August 2026, the scope of these collaborations expanded to include five major clubs: Arsenal FC, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC, and Paris Saint-Germain. Under these agreements, Gemini will serve as a personal AI assistant for supporters, providing tactical analysis and head-to-head statistics. Google Pixel will be utilized by club media teams for behind-the-scenes content, including a ‘Shot on Pixel’ series.

A key component of this broader initiative is increasing the global visibility of women’s football. Google intends to work with both men’s and women’s teams to produce pitch-side content and amplify coverage of the women's game. Additionally, Arsenal’s involvement includes a three-year renewal valued at approximately £7 million per season, extending a partnership that began in August 2023.
