European Heritage Days celebrations in France

Overview

Various French towns are preparing for the European Heritage Days scheduled for September 18–20.

In Ballan-Miré, festivities under the theme “Patrimoine en péril: raviver, résister, réimaginer” will include a medieval market called “Le Loup Argenté,” heritage walking tours of sites such as the Château de Beauvais, and the inauguration of a new sculpture by Saulius Savickas.

In Arcueil, programming includes exhibitions at Maison Raspail regarding labor history, a display of printing press media at the ETR Balistic museum-workshop, and visits to the 12th-century Église Saint-Denys. Musical performances interpreting labor songs are also planned.
