European men's volleyball World Championship qualification

Overview

European men’s national volleyball teams have secured qualifications for the 2027 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship.

Denmark achieved a historic qualification after reaching the knockout stage of the European Championship. Although the team was eliminated in the round of 16 by Italy, their performance improved their world ranking, allowing them to qualify for the 2027 tournament in Poland on sporting merit. This marks Denmark’s first qualification for the event as a direct participant rather than a replacement.

Estonia also qualified for the 32-team tournament via world rankings. This achievement represents the first time an Estonian team in an Olympic ball sport has reached a World Championship final tournament. The head coach noted that this qualification was a long-term objective established in 2023.
