European mineral water product recalls
Overview
Authorities in Hungary and Italy have issued recalls for specific batches of mineral water due to microbiological concerns.
In Hungary, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) initiated a recall for Primavera brand 500 ml bottles. The manufacturer, Magyarvíz Kft., identified two specific batches—one carbonated and one non-carbonated—that failed to meet microbiological compliance standards. Consumers are warned not to consume the affected products.
In Italy, the Ministry of Health issued an urgent recall for San Zaccaria natural mineral water. Laboratory testing indicated the possible presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacterium capable of causing serious infections. The recall is limited to one-liter glass bottles from production lot L26239221100, produced by Fonti Terme di Brennero S.r.l. in Bolzano.
