Evangelical and Protestant Church Day celebrations

Communities in Argentina and Chile have organized various events to observe the Day of Evangelical and Protestant Churches.

In Argentina, preparations in Oberá included a declaration of religious public interest by the City Council to recognize the social contributions of evangelical congregations. Planned activities in Oberá featured a concentration at the Civic Center and a city walk. In Balcarce, the “Fiesta de la Luz” was organized to include music, folklore, and solidarity efforts such as the donation of food and clothing for local institutions and hospitals. In Nueve de Julio, pastors organized a gathering at Plaza Belgrano involving the national anthem and reflections on Reformation history.

In the La Araucanía region of Chile, authorities and religious leaders held a ceremony that included the raising of the evangelical flag. Regional officials noted the importance of these communities in fostering social collaboration and expressed an intent to strengthen ties with religious groups through the National Office of Religious Affairs.
