Multiple fatal drowning incidents were reported across different regions of Brazil in late August 2026. Meanwhile, in Rio Grande do Sul, firefighters are using search dogs and thermal drones to locate four hikers—comprising a man, two women, and a teenager—who disappeared in the Tajuvas Canyon after deviating from a recommended path.
