Fatal shooting investigation in Entre Ríos, Bolivia

Overview

Police in the Entre Ríos region of Cochabamba are investigating the death of 35-year-old Richard Ferrufino, who was found dead in his vehicle with gunshot wounds, including a wound to the neck.

Investigators are considering two main theories: a fatal confrontation following a traffic altercation or a possible kidnapping attempt. Evidence at the scene includes damage to the victim’s vehicle windshield, roof, and front right side, as well as a piece of a front mask and a black bumper found approximately 30 meters away, which may belong to another vehicle. The Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Crimen (Felcc) is analyzing the scene to reconstruct the incident. Authorities noted that the victim reportedly had no criminal record.
