Fatal traffic accidents in Bangladesh

Overview

A series of fatal road and rail accidents have been reported in Bangladesh. In late September, incidents included a train striking an easybike in Jashore, a bus-motorcycle collision in Manikganj that killed a student and her infant daughter, and a collision between two buses on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway that resulted in three deaths.

In October, further fatalities occurred in Satkania, where a head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw caused a fire and killed two people, including a child. This incident led to a highway blockade and damage to a police vehicle. Additionally, a motorcycle collision on the Jashore-Benapole highway left three people dead.
