UEFA has concluded its disciplinary proceedings regarding post-match incidents at Groupama Stadium during the Champions League play-off second leg between Fenerbahçe and Olympique Lyonnais.

Matteo Guendouzi received a four-match suspension and a 50,000 euro fine for insulting others, provoking spectators, and violating fundamental rules of conduct. Two matches are to be served immediately, causing him to miss upcoming fixtures against Roma and Aston Villa, while the remaining two are suspended for one year. Mason Greenwood was issued a 30,000 euro fine and a one-match suspension, which is suspended for one year, allowing him to participate in the match against Roma.

Fenerbahçe was fined 95,000 euros for infractions including crowd disturbances and the use of pyrotechnics. The club maintains it is working with legal teams to provide documentation and defenses to UEFA to protect the interests of its players and the organization, and has announced its intention to appeal the decisions.

Olympique Lyonnais also faced fines totaling 108,500 euros for incidents such as the throwing of objects. Additionally, Lyon goalkeeper coach Antonio Ferreira was handed a five-match suspension, with three matches to be served immediately, following an attempt to attack Guendouzi described as “serious assault”.
