Ferencváros football club is undergoing transitions in its financial and leadership structures. Initially, the club confirmed its youth academy funding for the 2025/26 season, noting that 65% of allocated subsidies were received in January, with the remainder contingent on fulfilling financial commitments. Academy director Norbert Palásthy stated these funds would support player payroll and the integration of young talent into the senior squad.

Subsequently, the club entered a period of organizational change. A general assembly is scheduled for October to vote on leadership, with current leader Gábor Kubatov seeking re-election. This transition coincides with expected shifts in financial support, as previous state-linked sponsorships are anticipated to cease. While the football department may remain viable through player transfers and international revenue, other departments, such as water polo, may face funding difficulties. On the competitive front, the club is currently participating in European qualifiers for the Europa League or Conference League.
