The Fermo City Council has approved the merger of Solgas into Astea ~~Energia. This restructuring~~ Energia, a move that transitions the municipality from a 51% controlling stake in Solgas to a minority position of approximately 5% in Astea ~~Energia, which is controlled by~~ Energia. The Gruppo Società Gas Rimini will hold approximately 89.6% of the ~~SGR group.~~ capital, effectively shifting control to a private partner. The decision has met with opposition. Councilor Andrea Morroni is evaluating a legal appeal to the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) to potentially suspend the deliberation. Morroni is investigating whether the council was provided sufficient time and documentation to evaluate the complex merger, noting that documents were reportedly delivered only six days before the vote. This consolidation follows a decade-long process in which SGR entered municipal companies as an industrial partner, beginning with stakes in San Giorgio Energie and Solgas in 2014 and 2016.
