Film screenings and festivals in Argentina and Uruguay

Overview

In early October, the Guido Miranda Cultural Complex announced a schedule of film screenings featuring contemporary and Argentine productions. This included the screening of ‘Poeta’ as part of the Ciclo Yacaré and the presentation of ‘Hangar Rojo’ through Espacio INCAA.

Later in the month, film festivals were announced for Maldonado, Uruguay, and Puerto Madryn, Argentina. The Sesiones de Primavera, part of the Punta del Este International Film Festival, scheduled free screenings of documentaries and fiction in Maldonado from October 22 to 24. Simultaneously, the 14th MAFICI festival was set to take place in Puerto Madryn from October 23 to 30, featuring over 80 films, a retrospective of director Alejandro Agresti, and various community and professional development programs.
