Finnish Pentulive puppy livestream phenomenon
Overview
The Finnish national public broadcaster, Yle, has launched the sixth season of ‘Pentulive’, a 24/7 ‘slow TV’ livestream featuring a litter of six Lagotto Romagnolo puppies. Born on October 10 to a mother named Hilkka, the puppies have attracted massive domestic and international interest, with viewership estimates reaching approximately 10 million people worldwide.
The program incorporates scientific elements, such as podcasts and digital articles, to track developmental milestones. To maintain the animals' well-being, filming is conducted without disturbing their natural environment. The puppies—named Bella, Luna, Pepe, Enzo, Dante, and Milo following over 46,000 viewer suggestions—are expected to be adopted by new families in mid-December.
