Former Norwegian handball international Frank Løke began a 700‑kilometre off‑road mountain‑bike race across Finnmark on 26 July 2026. The event, described by Løke as the toughest competition of his life, started in Alta and traversed wetlands, rivers and high‑elevation terrain under the Arctic summer light. Despite the medical concerns, Løke called the experience “brutal” but worthwhile, noting it as the hardest challenge of his career.
