Florencio Varela triple homicide investigation

Overview

In the investigation of a triple homicide in Florencio Varela, Argentina, authorities arrested a new suspect, David Alberto Godoy. This arrest brings the total number of detainees to 16.

Investigators linked Godoy to the crime through cell phone analysis, suggesting he was present at the scene and in the vehicle used to transport the victims: Morena Verdi (20), Brenda del Castillo (20), and Lara Gutiérrez (15). The murders, which occurred nearly a year prior, reportedly involved torture and were linked to drug trafficking following a deceptive promise of a party and payment. Federal Judge Jorge Rodríguez has ordered Godoy’s interrogation while judicial secrecy remains in effect.
