On August 13, Zhou pleaded guilty to felony counts including aggravated stalking, written death threats, and the illegal use of a cellular phone. The judge granted a plea deal involving eight years of probation, with the first two years consisting of community control. His sentence includes wearing an ankle monitor for two years, undergoing mental health assessments, and attending a batterer intervention program. He is strictly prohibited from possessing weapons or contacting Wachterman.
