Fly2Galicia, a brand based in Santiago de Compostela, has announced plans to launch low-cost operations starting December 1. 1, 2026. Instead, it utilizes the Romanian airline FLYYO S.R.L. for its flight operations. This arrangement has drawn political criticism from Movemento Sumar Galicia. Secretary general Paulo Carlos López has demanded transparency concerning FLYYO’s background, specifically following an Al Jazeera investigation. That investigation identified an aircraft registered to the Romanian company among those used in operations to transport Palestinian populations out of Gaza, suggesting potential links to intermediaries facilitating voluntary emigration from the region.
