Football talent scouting tournaments in Ghana

Overview

In late September 2026, the Global Game Scouting Tournament was scheduled to be held at the McDan Sports Complex in Accra. Organized with ExcelsiorPro, the event aimed to connect emerging African football talent with professional clubs and academies through evaluations of technical and physical skills.

Following this, the MidCity Football Academy Agency Tournament was announced for October 2026. This event was set to take place in both Accra and Kumasi, featuring scouts from European clubs such as Belgium’s RSC Anderlecht, Denmark’s FC Midtjylland, and Portugal’s CD Mafra to facilitate professional career development for Ghanaian youth.
