Ford has expanded the availability of the Ranger Super Duty, a heavy-duty pickup designed for professional and commercial use. This proposal includes a six-wheeled “HEX 6x6” variant that may utilize a hybrid powertrain, combining a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel engine with an electric third axle to enhance performance and reduce noise. Field testing for LMV candidates is scheduled between October 2026 and January 2027. In Australia, Ford has expanded the lineup with the Super Duty XLT, an 11th variant that adds luxury features such as a leather-lined interior and heated or ventilated seats while maintaining the heavy-duty chassis and payload capabilities of the Super Duty line.
