Formosa Province new bridge

Overview

In early July 2026 the provincial government of Formosa announced the completion of a new bridge spanning the El Pucú stream. By the end of the month, on 30 July, the structure was formally inaugurated in the Sagrado Corazón neighbourhood of the capital. The ceremony was attended by Governor Gildo Insfrán and several ministers, who highlighted the bridge’s capacity for 25‑tonne vehicles, LED lighting, improved access roads and a built‑in stream‑cleaning system. Local residents praised the project for increasing safety and connectivity for Sagrado Corazón and nearby districts such as El Quebrachito, Liborsi and Nueva Formosa.
