Forza Italia regional leadership in Campania

In early September 2026, the Forza Italia youth movement in Campania mobilized across various provinces, including Avellino, Benevento, Naples, and Salerno, to collect 2,188 signatures in support of Fulvio Martusciello. Regional youth secretary Gianfranco Succoio noted that these efforts were intended to demonstrate political cohesion.

Following this mobilization, Martusciello was re-elected as the regional secretary of Forza Italia in Campania by acclamation during a party congress in Naples. Running on a platform titled ‘A New Beginning,’ Martusciello aims to establish the party as the leading force within the regional center-right coalition and prepare for future government challenges.

During the event, Martusciello underwent a saliva-based anti-drug test on stage following a challenge from Samuele Ciambriello, the Campania prisoners' ombudsman; the test result was negative. The congress featured participation from national figures, including Senator Maurizio Gasparri, while national leader Antonio Tajani attended via video link from Brazil. Regional councilor Angela Parente and provincial secretary Francesco Maria Rubano expressed support for the leadership, emphasizing the need for an inclusive party to address regional issues such as security, healthcare, and development.
